Stony Point gave the Vandegrift Vipers all they could handle in a thrilling Thursday night matchup on September 12. Despite coming up just short, falling 28-35, the Tigers showed incredible heart and determination against a Vandegrift team that has long been considered a district powerhouse. The Tigers kept it close throughout the contest, even leading at various points.
Stony Point pushed Vandegrift to the limit but ultimately, a few missed opportunities in the final moments sealed the Tigers’ fate. Despite the loss their effort has set a strong tone for the rest of the season.
The Tigers will return to action against Vista Ridge on Friday, September 20 at Gupton Stadium.
