Student athletic trainers play a vital role in keeping our football athletes prepared for game day. They assist with injury prevention, taping and bracing, hydration, equipment setup, practice and game-day coverage, and communication with the athletic training staff when an athlete needs attention. By working closely with players throughout the season, student trainers help support a safe, organized environment so the team can perform at its best.
The experience also gives student trainers valuable hands-on exposure to sports medicine, teamwork, leadership, and the day-to-day responsibilities of caring for athletes. They gain practical skills while making a meaningful impact behind the scenes—helping ensure every player is ready to compete.
