The Stony Point Tigers showed exactly what their offense is capable of in an explosive first half Friday night, but the Bowie Bulldogs ultimately pulled away for a 47–21 win. The Tigers came out attacking, with Aiden “Mr. Shifty” Loyden continuing to be a dynamic force on the ground as he rushed for 102 yards on 23 carries. Quarterback Brady Davis helped ignite that early momentum by turning broken looks into positive plays with his legs, slipping through traffic and extending drives when the Tigers needed a spark. Stony Point also found a big-play threat through the air as Landon Boyd made two receptions for 69 yards, while Kaden Smith added a completion for six yards to help keep the offense moving. Although the final score did not go Stony Point’s way, the Tigers’ first-half surge was a clear glimpse of the speed, creativity, and offensive potential they can bring when they play with confidence.
Stony Point now turns its attention to district play, opening conference action against Round Rock at 7 p.m. Friday.
