The Tigers started strong against the Hutto Hippos with three long touchdown passes from Mason Troyer to Andrew Gomez in the first quarter, jumping out to a 21-14 lead. However, despite their fast start, the Tigers couldn’t capitalize and failed to score again for the remainder of the game. The score was tied 21-21 at halftime, but Hutto took control in the second half, ultimately defeating Stony Point 35-21.
The Tigers now stand at 1-5 in 25-6A district play but will look to improve their record when they take on Westwood at Dragon Stadium on October 25.
