The Stony Point High School Football Booster Club is proud to support our student-athletes as they pursue their academic and career goals. We are now accepting scholarship applications from senior student-athletes in the Class of 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Stony Point High School senior graduating in the Class of 2025.
- Must have been on the varsity football roster for the entire 2024-2025 season.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher as of January 1, 2025.
- Must not have had any athletic or academic suspensions during the 2024-2025 school year.
- Must plan to attend a vocational school, military academy, community college, or 4-year college/university by February 1, 2026.
Application Components
Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Essay (40%)
- GPA (30%)
- Letter of Recommendation (20%)
- Community Involvement/Volunteer Hours (10%)
The essay must be a minimum of 250 words and detail what the student has learned from playing high school football, how these lessons will help them achieve future goals, and a summary of their strategic plans for success. Essays must be typed, double-spaced, and in 12-point font.
Letter of Recommendation:
One letter of recommendation is required from a Stony Point faculty member or a community member who can speak to the applicant’s character and achievements. The letter may be uploaded or emailed directly to scholarship@stpfootball.org.
Application Deadline:
All application materials must be submitted by March 31, 2025.
Award Notification:
Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 25, 2025, and awards will be presented at the Senior Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 1, from 6 – 8 PM in the competition gym.
