The Stony Point High School Football Booster Club is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. All senior student football athletes are eligible. A total of $5000 in scholarships will be awarded to the senior athletes who best exemplify the spirit of Tiger Nation. The emphasis of the SPHS Football Booster scholarships is academic achievement, community service, and demonstration of outstanding leadership on and off the field.

Requirements
- Must be a Stony Point High School graduating senior during the current academic year and must have been on Varsity football roster for the entire football season.
- Must be planning to attend a vocational school, military academy, community college or 4-year college/university by the first spring semester following your high school graduation. Scholarship will be declared null & void if not redeemed by school graduation. Scholarship will be declared null & void if not redeemed by 2/1/2025.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher as of January 1, 2024, of your senior year.
- Must identify your commitment to the community and any volunteer involvement.
- Open enrollment is from January 22, 2024 – March 22, 2024. This application must be completed and submitted to the booster club with the required supporting documents by March 22, 2024.
- The applicant will be ineligible to receive the scholarship if, at the time it is awarded, they have accepted a full scholarship (tuition, room and board, and books) from other sources.
- Must NOT have had any athletic and/or academic suspensions during the current academic year.
Applicants Will be Evaluated on the Following
- Essay – 40%
- Letter of Recommendation – 20%
- GPA -30%
- Community Involvement/Volunteer Hours – 10%
- ESSAY – An essay that includes what you have learned from playing high school football and how that experience will help you achieve your future goals. To prevent disqualification, essay must be typed and double-spaced using 12-point font. The essay should be a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 750.
- LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION – The letter of recommendation should be from a member of the Stony Point faculty (for example: teacher or administrator), or a member in the community (for example: minister or employer) who recommends you for the scholarship. This can be in the format of an email or as an electronic document and saved as a pdf and uploaded. Recommendations will be verified.
