Player of the Week: Zach Rangel, Stony Point
Stony Point’s (2-3, 1-0) offense was rolling in a 52-48 win over Round Rock (0-5, 0-1), and Rangel was driving the bus. He finished 11-of-19 for 283 yards and four touchdowns to four different receivers in the Tigers’ win. Two of his throws were from more than 50 yards out, including an 82-yard strike to Kendall Thomas and a 52-yard pass to Daelan Loyden. His 27-yarder to Treshon Picket with 7 minutes, 7 seconds to go in the game gave Stony Point the breathing room it needed to pull of the win and move to 1-0 in district.
